Volunteer Opportunities

All positions:

Bilingual is a plus as Habitat for Humanity ReStore is multi-cultural.

Volunteer Coordinator:

Part Time

Duties: Schedule and coordinate all volunteer positions pertaining to the restore to include making and receiving calls, internet and email work and helping to fill open positions by working with institutions such as The Volunteer Center of Collin County, Churches, volunteer groups and other sources.


Procurement Director:

Part Time

Duties: Contact or oversee a group that maintains contact with all potential suppliers of goods to the ReStore to include vendors, contractors, churches, other restores, city refuge, and any other sources


ReStore Managers:

Part Time

Duties: Running various aspects of the day-to-day operation of the ReStore to include overseeing and performing the duties of stocking, clerking, cashiering, loading, unloading, cleaning and organizing, and other tasks required.


e-Commerce Mgr:

Part Time

Duties: Use existing system to market and promote the ReStore items that can be best sold through the internet. Take pictures, post, price and follow up on sales. System is capable of coordinating shipping and much more.


Marketing Mgr:

Part Time

Duties: Market the ReStore to potential and probable buyers of ReStore inventory to include contractors, sub contractors, and explore other markets. Coordinate a group that will contact by calling on in person and also by phone and use internet to market inventory.


Cashiers:

Part Time

Duties: Learning and using existing system to record sales and settlements. Also responsible to balance all work ie credit cards, cash, checks etc with recorded sales and help make the deposit and make sure all transactions have been processed.


Clerks:

Part Time

Duties: Greet and meet all incoming customers, help answer questions resolve any issues, stock shelves, mark prices and help keep store clean and presentable.


Stockers:

Part Time

Duties: Must be able to lift heavy objects and will be required to move heavy objects. To help unload donated items and load purchased items and relocate heavy inventory and shelving.


Donation Pick-up Staff:

Part Time

Duties: Manager(s) would run crew of 1 Driver and at least 2 helpers and would drive existing truck on “pick up routes” to acquire donated items that must be picked up with our existing truck. A pick up truck and driver would be appreciated as we pay cost but we do have an existing 14’ box truck with ramp.


Donation Coordinator:

Part Time

Duties: Return all calls and emails to people and companies that want to donate items to our ReStore. Evaluate worthy quality and resale ability and direct all inquires to a solution to include accepting for delivery or setting up for pick up by our truck or refer to one of our recommended recycle sites.


Community Service

The South Collin County Habitat for Humanity ReStore is qualified for Community Service Hours, both court-ordered and for students.
